That being said, the Race to the Top money did not spur on innovation as much as it rewarded certain ideaologies, such as increasing the number of charter schools. | I believe in the DREAM Act, whereby children who have grown up in the US may apply for citizenship after meeting certain conditions. It also sounds so reasonable to ask undocumented people to return home to "get in line." Unfortunately, for many of those people there is no line to get into. Low income, low skilled workers are not on anyone's priority list. We also have a long history of including certain groups of people over other groups. Immigration has only made us better as a nation, and immigrants have often shown us the best of America. | |||
